Coach Carter is a great movie with some good lessons in it.
The movie teaches us to be respectful and to be determined in what we do.
But there are way more things in the movie, like the struggles of growing up in a bad town/place.
Coach Carter shows us that if you work hard and get good grades you could go to a good
college and get into a better life.
Coach Carter emphasises this when he says “If you can’t perform in the classroom you will not play.”
making a point the education is apart of sport too.
This movie has a lot of good morals that people should have, like teamwork and taking responsibility
for your actions.
Writing about Coach Carter made me realise that those same morals can be applied to any situation
e.g. school and in workplaces. Like when Coach Carter yelled at them for trash talking them saying
“Be a winner celebrate your success not their failure.”. This was a fun and helpful thing to for
English with a movie that was very relatable.
When Coach Carter talks about hard work and determination it makes me look at my
basketball gameplay and try to improve on it. It makes me look back on what work and training
I have done and wanting to do better. It makes me want to improve.
Improve on my jumpshot and dribble moves. improve on my maths and my english.
It makes me want to get better academically and physically with all of my skills, not just one thing.
