Curse Of The Tasman Sea
Chilly, crisp wind blows like a hurricane at Karoro beach
Freezing, cold mist wayfaring off the hard, fast Tasman Sea
refreshing but so cold.
Sand, soft as a pillow under heavy, hard feet
I barely touch the water
cold as an ice cube in a delicious pina colada.
Clouds above fill the sea like a bucket of wild water
Bright yellow sun bursts out rays of sunshine.
My spirit starts to rise
I feel unstoppable
Running towards mountains
The curse of the Tasman swallows me whole.
I struggle to breathe
I am one with the ocean now.
